The Empire of Lithiumev is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Queen Rachel I with an even hand, and remarkable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 2.128 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and the Environment. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Olympia City. The average income tax rate is 86%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Gambling and Basket Weaving.

The wearing and manufacture of fur apparel is banned, there's a shortage of swinging hot spots as land development grinds to a halt, the government encourages conflict abroad to increase arms sales, and tourists from around the world come to visit the country's famous rainforests. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Lithiumev's national animal is the Dingo, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Chrimbloti, and its currency is the Horton.

Lithiumev is ranked 258th in Europeia and 20,104th in the world for Largest Welfare Programs, scoring 45 on the Safety Net Mesh Density Rating.
