The Republic of Lioneez2 is a massive, cultured nation, remarkable for its museums and concert halls. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 2.8 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of the Environment, Education, and Social Welfare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Lioneez2 City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 41%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Space shuttles regularly launch rubbish into space, all major public areas are watched by police surveillance cameras, there has been a series of riots between local cannibals and health food advocates, and Lioneez2 is increasingly belligerent on the international stage. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Lioneez2's national animal is the blahcaboo, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the blah.
