The Republic of LindseyA is a massive, safe nation, ruled by King Ewic with a fair hand, and remarkable for its restrictive gun laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 4.06 billion live in a state of perpetual fear, as a complete breakdown of social order has led to the rise of order through biker gangs.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although the Environment and Social Equality are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Ewicville. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 88%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Tourism.

Guns are banned, the government awards prizes to television shows featuring stereotype-breaking minority roles, people of faith are sent to twelve-step programs for 'The Cure', and military funding has been stripped back. Crime is totally unknown. LindseyA's national animal is the koala, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the euro.

LindseyA is ranked 102nd in European Union and 97,507th in the world for Shortest Average Lifespan, scoring -30 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
