The Queendom of Lilian is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Leader with an even hand, and notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed population of 3.318 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 80%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Book Publishing and Information Technology.

Government-run brothels can be found on every street corner, citizens are encouraged to report friends, family members or co-workers who seem depressed to the government for "counselling", the people are famous throughout the region for their bleached-white teeth, and conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Lilian's national animal is the White Beaver, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Tonfor.
