The United States of Liberta Infinita is a massive, safe nation, remarkable for its unlimited-speed roads. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 1.371 billion hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and the Environment. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of La Défense. The average income tax rate is 75%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Liberta Infinita's navy has been named the scourge of the seven thousand seas, referenda are held for every conceivable government action, biology and religious education classes have recently been merged, and condemned prisoners spend hours a day sitting in lotus position looking perplexed. Crime is totally unknown. Liberta Infinita's national animal is the Dolphin, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Infinito.
