The Viking Kingdoms of Leviathahn is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Leader with a fair hand, and renowned for its irreverence towards religion. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 16.168 billion enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt individuals concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law & Order and Education are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Jomsborg. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Uranium Mining.

Crime is on the rise as DNA sampling has been all but outlawed, disaster victims are viewed with disdain, Leviathahn's leader goes out to lunch surrounded by large men in dark glasses, and prosecutors routinely call transplant doctors as 'expert witnesses' in burglary cases. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Leviathahn's national animal is the Wolpertinger, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the Crown.

Leviathahn is ranked 1st in Liberty Alliance and 95th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 25 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
