The Monarchy of Ledarre is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by King James II with an even hand, and renowned for its restrictive gun laws. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 5.897 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is mainly concerned with Religion & Spirituality, although Law & Order and Commerce are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ledarra. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 43%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Public nudity is compulsory, women earn less than half the salary of men if they can even find a job, scholars are leaving the country at an alarming rate, and contrails and thunderous rumbles have returned to the skies above. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Ledarre's national animal is the German Shepard, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Confucianism, and its currency is the Sterling .

Ledarre is ranked 2nd in Avar and 86,685th in the world for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring -49 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
