The Free Republic of Lamoni is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Andrew Stinson with an even hand, and notable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 22.547 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Defence. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Nephi. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 70%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Information Technology and Book Publishing.

The nation has opened its arms to an influx of refugees, all telephone traffic is monitored for 'national security reasons', the nation has an international reputation for compassion, and euthanasia is legal. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Lamoni's national animal is the Hawk, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Rushana.

Lamoni is ranked 7th in Greater Dienstad and 1,349th in the world for Largest Mining Sector, scoring 14 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
