The Queendom of LaDana is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Queen Dana with an even hand, and remarkable for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 1.947 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Social Equality and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mega City. The average income tax rate is 55%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Gambling industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Information Technology.

The airship business has been driven out of the country by strict regulations and high fines, LaDana's fine wines are renowned throughout the region, a weakened police force struggles to maintain law and order, and TV shows must meet strict ethnicity quotas. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. LaDana's national animal is the Velociraptor, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Sun Goddess, and its currency is the Cubits.

LaDana is ranked 4,063rd in the West Pacific and 95,580th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -5 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
