The Camarada de Siempre of La Pasionaria is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by Comrade Members of The Internationale with a fair hand, and remarkable for its happy-go-lucky citizens. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 8.478 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Social Equality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Dolores. The average income tax rate is 100%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Book Publishing.

People faint regularly as they get stuck with compulsory vaccinations, schoolchildren have twice-weekly sex education classes, citizens are forced to donate blood once every three months, and organ donation is compulsory. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. La Pasionaria's national animal is the songbird, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Mutual Aid.

La Pasionaria is ranked 13th in The Internationale and 1,398th in the world for Healthiest Citizens, with 18 Standard Bananas Ingested per capita per day.
