The Death watch of Kyrtsad is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by Pre Viszla with an even hand, and renowned for its parental licensing program. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 2.761 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The large government devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Healthcare receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 16%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Soda Sales.

The armed forces are locked in an expensive and bloody war abroad to stamp out possible terrorists, citizens have reported seeing strange rays of light emanating from the moon, the government awards prizes to television shows featuring stereotype-breaking minority roles, and much of Kyrtsad's computer network is controlled by a rampant artificial intelligence. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. Kyrtsad's national animal is the huskie or cat, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Death to the Jedi, and its currency is the pellet.

Kyrtsad is ranked 2nd in Assassins and 48,037th in the world for Stupidest Citizens, scoring 13 on the Average Edu-UNtellignce® Test Score.
