The Allied States of KvasirKnights is a massive, genial nation, ruled by Ewfr 'Gomulee with an even hand, and remarkable for its restrictive gun laws. Its compassionate population of 1.978 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Defence, and the Environment. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Kvak City. The average income tax rate is 75%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Guns are banned, the government extracts trade concessions from poor nations in exchange for humanitarian aid, the nation's infamous boot camp is more brutal than most battlefields, and the nation's secret service is so secret that nobody knows if it has one. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. KvasirKnights's national animal is the Kvakkar, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Kvacoin.
