The Ever Expanding Empire of Kureimoa is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Empress Galatea III with an iron fist, and remarkable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 9.811 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law & Order and Healthcare are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Rabona. The average income tax rate is 98%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Speaking out against the government is punishable by flogging, the government is avowedly atheist, the government extracts trade concessions from poor nations in exchange for humanitarian aid, and rumours have it that a secret police is responsible for the recent spate of missing persons. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Kureimoa's national animal is the Awakened Being, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is praising the empress' beauty, and its currency is the Raki.

Kureimoa is ranked 520th in Europe and 91,872nd in the world for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring -116 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
