The Socialist Federal Republic of Kinitaria is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by General Kucinič with a fair hand, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 4.413 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mi'ato. The average income tax rate is 98%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The recently unemployed can often be seen at the local homeless shelter, the government helps teach children how to kill a man from six paces, crime suspects are forced to submit to blood testing, and Red Cross demand for body bags is rising while sutures go unused. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Kinitaria's national animal is the walrus, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is atheism, and its currency is the hirin.

Kinitaria is ranked 22nd in Atlantian Oceania and 20,930th in the world for Most Extreme, scoring 27 on the Paul-Nader Subjective Decentrality Index.
