The Republic of Killerfluffy is a colossal, socially progressive nation, ruled by Leader with an even hand, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5.527 billion enjoy extensive civil freedoms, particularly in social issues, while business tends to be more regulated.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, liberal individuals is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as Religion & Spirituality and the Environment receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of fluffland. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, and Book Publishing industries.

Voting is voluntary, elections have become procedural nightmares due to voters persistently rejecting candidates, abortions are routinely performed in Killerfluffy's hospitals, and teenagers across the country are celebrating the defeat of a national curfew bill. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Killerfluffy's national animal is the fluffies, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is fluffology, and its currency is the fluffs.
