The Militaristic Republic of Kiljarit is a gargantuan, safe nation, ruled by Takeshi Kobayashi with an iron fist, and remarkable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its compassionate, cynical population of 12.271 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Tirajilik. The average income tax rate is 97%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Tourism and Automobile Manufacturing.

Protests are prohibited from blocking traffic, jails have become colloquially known as 'vampire houses', citizens are encouraged to report friends, family members or co-workers who seem depressed to the government for "counselling", and crime suspects are forced to submit to blood testing. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Kiljarit's national animal is the komodo dragon, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Kobayashiism, and its currency is the kiljari.

Kiljarit is ranked 4th in Canada and 1,307th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 10 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
