The Communist Kratocracy of Khyrta is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Prime Minister Vladislav Radul with an even hand, and renowned for its irreverence towards religion. Its hard-nosed population of 4.45 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Miranova. The average income tax rate is 98%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

National parks have long lines of different gender-specific 'Porta-Pottys', politicians constantly ring their voters to remind them how good a job they're doing, the government spends millions of Chrimatoss every year prosecuting spammers, and prisoners work-share to cut down rising costs of keeping them in jail. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Khyrta's national animal is the Tyrannosaurus Rex, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is secular state, and its currency is the Chrimatos.

Khyrta is ranked 17th in Soviet Union and 99,464th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -8 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
