The Confederacy of Khan Futuristics is a huge, genial nation, notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 584 million are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although Social Welfare and Social Equality are on the agenda. The average income tax rate is 68%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Killerhamsters are considered a delicacy, Killerhamster is one of the most popular forenames in Khan Futuristics, religious figures have been banned from public holidays to make them more multicultural, and citizens are expected to be proficient in at least five languages. Crime is totally unknown. Khan Futuristics's national animal is the Killerhamster, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the K-Dollar.
