The Terrifying Regime of Khaled Al-Asaden is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by The Supreme Leader Khaled with an iron fist, and notable for its punitive income tax rates. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 2.093 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Aswad Madiina. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 59%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Gambling and Uranium Mining.

The alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit, fast food restaurants everywhere are under the control of a gigantic government corporation, conscientious objectors are hanged as traitors, and young children are regularly seen wagering pocket money at blackjack tables. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Khaled Al-Asaden's national animal is the Emperor Scorpion, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Deistic Khaledism, and its currency is the blood-stained riyal.
