The Atheist Republic of Khadgar is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Leader with a fair hand, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Book Publishing and Beef-Based Agriculture.

X-Files ratings have hit an all-time low, schoolchildren have twice-weekly sex education classes, organ donation is compulsory, and an increasing percentage of the population's youth have homosexual parents. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Khadgar's national animal is the Squirrel, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the kaching.
