OverviewPeopleGovernmentEconomyTrendAnalysis

The Colony of Key Atlantis is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Jay Myers with an even hand, and remarkable for its punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 5.543 billion Tropical Islesians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Education, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Madrid. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Book Publishing and Woodchip Exports.

Voting is compulsory, tourists outnumber citizens two to one, organ donation is compulsory, and students cut up leftover Silver Ounces during Arts and Crafts. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Key Atlantis's national animal is the cat, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Silver Ounce.

Key Atlantis is ranked 6th in Tropical Isles and 4,370th in the world for Largest Soda Pop Sector, scoring 7 on the Addison-Fukk Productivity Rating.
