It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Defence, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Harken Spire. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 70%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology industry, followed by Arms Manufacturing and Book Publishing.

The tenet of free speech is held dear, 'The Anti-Government Hour' is a popular programme on many of Kesselfall's radio stations, the study of medicine is popular throughout Kesselfall, and it's a common sight to see angry commuters with grenade launchers mounted on their vehicles. Crime is totally unknown. Kesselfall's national animal is the servohamster, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is subject to change without prior consent, and its currency is the Paradise Florin.
