The Empire of Keronians is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by President Aragon Brisingr with an even hand, and remarkable for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate population of 3.47 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Eden. The average income tax rate is 95%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Book Publishing, Tourism, and Arms Manufacturing industries.

Libraries are now installed with jacuzzis and mini-bars, citizens live in superstitious fear of the mysterious glowing clouds that float over Keronians, retirement homes are often fitted with luxurious suites, and private business has started paving paradises and putting up parking lots. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Keronians's national animal is the Frog, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Kid.
