The Great Empire of Kandorith is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by Emperor Xīn with an even hand, and notable for its unlimited-speed roads. The hard-nosed, intelligent population of 10.869 billion Kandorese are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Xiǎngzhu 香州. The average income tax rate is 75%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Tourism.

The military frequently holds bake sales to raise funds, the government has cut taxes in the face of widespread tax evasion, people eagerly queue days at A&E to wait for their free healthcare, and Xiǎngzhu 香州 spends billions upgrading public transport. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Kandorith's national animal is the Feathered-Dragon, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, its national religion is Shengxia Jiaoism, and its currency is the Yuanshi.

Kandorith is ranked 49th in Democratic Socialist Assembly and 4,768th in the world for Most Popular Tourist Destinations, with 801.25 Net Tourists per hour.
