The Great Empire of Kandorith is a gargantuan, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Emperor Xīn with an even hand, and notable for its unlimited-speed roads. The hard-nosed, intelligent population of 10.703 billion Kandorese are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Xiǎngzhu 香州. The average income tax rate is 84%, and even higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Tourism.

A weakened police force struggles to maintain law and order, the internet has been placed under government control, coalition governments are essential to passing new laws, and foreign 'investors' have been taking a great interest in the new secret shuttle. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Kandorith's national animal is the Feathered-Dragon, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies, its national religion is Shengxia Jiaoism, and its currency is the Yuanshi.

Kandorith is ranked 57th in Democratic Socialist Assembly and 5,161st in the world for Longest Average Lifespans, scoring 36 on the Enoch Index.
