The Rogue Nation of Kalliana is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Fandalas with an even hand, and renowned for its enforced nudity. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 4.48 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Equality, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Kalliana City. The average income tax rate is 89%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Scenic mountain valleys are flooded with water as damming projects get underway, people are now classified as male, female, or genderqueer, vets have been drafted in to help "fix" those who fail the parental license exam, and the breathalyser pledge is a traditional part of marriages in Kalliana. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling. Kalliana's national animal is the Llama, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is a major religion, and its currency is the Liana.

Kalliana is ranked 4,870th in The East Pacific and 129,740th in the world for Largest Mining Sector, scoring -11 on the Blue Sky Asbestos Index.
