The Industrial Empire of Kaiserusse is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by Emperor Gunther Kurze with an even hand, and renowned for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 4.168 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, pro-business individuals concentrates mainly on Defence, although Law & Order and Education are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Kriegsburg. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

Muscular women are banned from competing in sporting competitions, mobile phone masts are being erected all over the country, the nation is experiencing a severe shortage of sporting events, and Legionnaire Eagle is one of the most popular forenames in Kaiserusse. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is a major problem. Kaiserusse's national animal is the Legionnaire Eagle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Kaisermark.
