The Islamic Sultanate of Johor is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by Salahuddin with an iron fist, and notable for its sprawling nuclear power plants. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 12.745 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Religion & Spirituality. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Johor Bahru. The average income tax rate is 97%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Arms Manufacturing, and Beef-Based Agriculture industries.

Children listen incredulously when their grandparents explain what a "running river" is, protesters are up in arms over new nuclear power stations, dozens of additional foreign policy specialists have been sent to the country's WA Mission, and soldiers go to war dressed in cassocks and robes. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Johor's national animal is the Tiger, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Islam, and its currency is the Gold Dinar.

Johor is ranked 31st in United Empire of Islam and 47,840th in the world for Most Authoritarian, with 0.499 Stalins.
