The Colony of Jevistan is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Jay Myers with an even hand, and renowned for its museums and concert halls. The hard-nosed population of 4.902 billion Tropical Islesians are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Education, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Jevistani Center. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Book Publishing and Woodchip Exports.

Fancy dress parties are raided by military police for new recruits, motorists' locations are constantly tracked by intelligence and law enforcement agencies, almost all of Jevistan's water is piped into the country from abroad for exorbitant prices, and the institution of marriage is held sacred and strictly enforced. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Jevistan's national animal is the cat, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Platinum Dollar.

Jevistan is ranked 20th in SideWalk Zone and 110,931st in the world for Most Average, scoring -1,199 on the Average Standarized Normality Scale.
