The Republic of Jerykoa is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, ruled by Demos Arche with a fair hand, and renowned for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 772 million love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Pizza Delivery, and Tourism industries.

Meat-eating is frowned upon, Demos Arche has just been declared ruler of Jerykoa in an international press conference, 'The Anti-Government Hour' is a popular programme on many of Jerykoa's radio stations, and the government has instituted 'traveller reservations' across the country. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Jerykoa's national animal is the Albino Liger, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Koas.
