There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, pro-business individuals juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Healthcare, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Funkytown. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Book Publishing industry.

University graduates and new home-owners toil in labour camps to work off their debts, voters must frequently select what they view as the lesser of two evils on the ballot, voting is compulsory, and only the rich can afford the latest medical innovations. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Jenesia's national animal is the Sacred Cow, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Euro.
