The Magic Land of Jefffliu is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Itsuki with a fair hand, and notable for its complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 4.842 billion Jefffliuans are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The medium-sized, corrupt government concentrates mainly on Commerce, although Defence and Education are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Astral. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 29%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, and Book Publishing industries.

Politicians live in abject luxury, education and welfare spending are on the rise, nude art is becoming wildly popular, and territories have the right to secede if they aren't happy. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Jefffliu's national animal is the Mouse, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Demonic eye, and its currency is the $$.

Jefffliu is ranked 972nd in The North Pacific and 24,932nd in the world for Most Extensive Civil Rights, with 70 Martin Luther King, Jr. Units.
