The Holy Democratic Imperio of Jarovia is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Emperor Uriah II with an even hand, and notable for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 3.168 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Religion & Spirituality, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Jaro City. The average income tax rate is 52%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Furniture Restoration, and Woodchip Exports industries.

Mobile phone masts are being erected all over the country, most people suffer from some form of hearing loss, the nation's infamous boot camp is more brutal than most battlefields, and prosecutors routinely call transplant doctors as 'expert witnesses' in burglary cases. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Jarovia's national animal is the Jarovic Eagle, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Jarovic Dollar.

Jarovia is ranked 3rd in Paradoxia and 4,811th in the world for Most Politically Apathetic Citizens, with 22 Whatever.
