It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Commerce, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Viridia. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Information Technology industries.

Jade Confederacy's navy has been named the scourge of the seven thousand seas, the bonfire of the old paper records can be seen for miles around Viridia, the importance of winning Olympic gold medals is indoctrinated from an early age, and government-run screening operations remove embryos with severe genetic disorders. Crime is totally unknown. Jade Confederacy's national animal is the Emerald Falcon, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Haruhiism, and its currency is the Confederate Credit.
