The Kingdom of J Fox is a massive, economically powerful nation, ruled by Jarod with an even hand, and renowned for its complete lack of prisons. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 3.9 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Commerce. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Dixon. The average income tax rate is 90%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Tourism.

Elevator music has been replaced by thrash metal played at maximum volume, all telephone traffic is monitored for 'national security reasons', heavy industry must go to expensive lengths to dispose of waste, and school uniforms are compulsory. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. J Fox's national animal is the Fox, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Foxism, and its currency is the Rubble.
