The Colony of Isle of the Vatican is a colossal, devout nation, ruled by Jay Myers with an even hand, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 5.203 billion Tropical Islesians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Education, and Law & Order. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Vatican. The average income tax rate is 100%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Tourism industry, followed by Book Publishing and Woodchip Exports.

Students cut up leftover Silver Ounces during Arts and Crafts, small businesses are gobbled up almost daily by corporate giants, parents must choose their children's names from a government-mandated master list, and prisoners work-share to cut down rising costs of keeping them in jail. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Isle of the Vatican's national animal is the cat, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Silver Ounce.

Isle of the Vatican is ranked 9th in SideWalk Zone and 2,439th in the world for Largest Defense Forces, with 333 Unexploded Ordnance per Square Mile.
