The Most Serene Republic of Ishkiz is a massive, cultured nation, renowned for its ban on automobiles. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 2.786 billion are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Education, although the Environment and Social Equality are on the agenda. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Yuki. The average income tax rate is 96%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

The nation has welcomed its expats back with open arms, the 'kind of scrawny' 500 meter hurdle is a popular event, all citizens must pass a 'multicultural sensitivity test' to be deemed fit for society, and Ishkiz's children are widely acknowledged as the most foul-mouthed in the region. Crime is totally unknown. Ishkiz's national animal is the Dango, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Gero.
