The Holy Gold and Grand Empire of Invanz 2 is a colossal, economically powerful nation, ruled by Emperor Sean with an iron fist, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 7.747 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Imperial City. The average income tax rate is 95%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Automobile Manufacturing industries.

The government strictly regulates whale harvest quotas, most of the military's funding goes into researching space-age weaponry, many working fathers have never seen their children, and the state has declared war on the environment and environmentalists by association. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Invanz 2's national animal is the dog, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is a major religion, and its currency is the dollar.
