The Semi-Presidential Republic of Inglandinia is a colossal, safe nation, ruled by Dr Tony Mead with an even hand, and notable for its parental licensing program. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 5.814 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it concentrates mainly on Law & Order, although Defence and Education are secondary priorities. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Mancunium. The average income tax rate is 25%, but much higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Beef-Based Agriculture and Uranium Mining.

Military funding has been stripped back, torture is commonly used to extract information from suspected criminals, small businesses are gobbled up almost daily by corporate giants, and all citizens are solely referenced by their allocated identity number. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Inglandinia's national animal is the Lion, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Pound.

Inglandinia is ranked 2nd in Universal Trade Federation and 9,637th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 4 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
