The Empire of Imperial-Empire is a massive, cultured nation, ruled by Emperor Titus Mede II with an iron fist, and remarkable for its keen interest in outer space. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.016 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Imperial City. The average income tax rate is 77%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining, Tourism, and Arms Manufacturing industries.

Private business has started paving paradises and putting up parking lots, artists are pillars of society, politicians accepting drinks in bars are executed for taking bribes, and conductors wield diamond-encrusted batons to fit in with their freshly gilded surroundings. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Imperial-Empire's national animal is the Drake, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Imperial.

Imperial-Empire is ranked 3rd in Alliance of Nations and 64,432nd in the world for Most Extreme, scoring 17 on the Paul-Nader Subjective Decentrality Index.
