The Ecumenopolis of Ihron Fyst is a massive, safe nation, ruled by CEO Thomas Gunther with an even hand, and renowned for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 4.342 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Fystandantilus. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 14%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Gambling, and Information Technology industries.

Police officers have nearly cracked a major underage astronomy syndicate, priests are being drafted by the church load, children as young as twelve are conscripted into the armed forces, and fur coats have become the latest fashion trend. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ihron Fyst's national animal is the water bear, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is The Church of Laissez-Faire, and its currency is the fisticuff.

Ihron Fyst is ranked 1st in The Beatles and 1,002nd in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 12 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
