The Dominion of Iconoclastica is a gargantuan, socially progressive nation, ruled by Mammon Staadgi with an even hand, and renowned for its complete lack of public education. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 20.12 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, pro-business individuals juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Law & Order, and Defence. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Croesus. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, and Uranium Mining industries.

The military has had to quell a recent insurrection by uninsured revolutionaries, protesters are up in arms over new nuclear power stations, citizens have reported seeing strange rays of light emanating from the moon, and the controversial show 'Who Wants to be an Immigrant?' has become wildly popular. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Iconoclastica's national animal is the capitalist pig, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the nucleus.

Iconoclastica is ranked 5th in Europe and 171st in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 21 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
