Its compassionate, intelligent population of 1.03 billion love a good election, and the government gives them plenty of them. Universities tend to be full of students debating the merits of various civil and political rights, while businesses are tightly regulated and the wealthy viewed with suspicion.

A substantial private sector is dominated by the Uranium Mining industry.

Leader is the self-declared God of all Hyrandom, scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, police conduct weekly raids looking for contraband cheeseburgers, and naturists are jailed regularly for indecent exposure. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Hyrandom's national animal is the Phoenix, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, its national religion is Hyranianism, and its currency is the Hyra.
