The Nation of Order of HyperionSun is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by Ra with an iron fist, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 1.682 billion are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, pro-business individuals devotes most of its attentions to Defence, with areas such as Social Equality and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Egypt. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Saturday morning cartoons feature full frontal nudity, elections have recently been reintroduced to HyperionSun, the children of HyperionSun are often remarked upon for their cheery attitude to extreme violence, and a fashion designer has been arrested for inciting hatred after claiming redheads couldn't pull off vermillion. Crime is a major problem. HyperionSun's national animal is the Set Animal, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Christianity, and its currency is the Drachma.

HyperionSun is ranked 23rd in New Egypt and 126,320th in the world for Largest Welfare Programs, scoring -44 on the Safety Net Mesh Density Rating.
