The Not So Free Land of Hungarian Free Land is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Mr Melvin Hiemer with an even hand, and notable for its punitive income tax rates. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 1.161 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Radeon. The average income tax rate is 71%, and even higher for the wealthy. A healthy private sector is dominated by the Tourism industry.

Crime is on the rise as DNA sampling has been all but outlawed, much of Hungarian Free Land's computer network is controlled by a rampant artificial intelligence, the mob and the police have recently had numerous clashes in the back alleys of Hungarian Free Land's cities due to the government's steadfast anti-casino stance, and cremation is compulsory for the deceased. Crime is totally unknown. Hungarian Free Land's national animal is the whale, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Bottlecap.
