The Free-ish Peoples of Humanitarianland is a huge, cultured nation, notable for its museums and concert halls. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 650 million are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whoever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, liberal government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Education, and the Environment. The average income tax rate is 69%, and even higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Morning coffees are no longer the same since the disappearance of newspapers, the military frequently holds bake sales to raise funds, people are moving into treehouses in record numbers, and Humanitarianland is notorious for its citizens' infidelity. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is crippling, probably because of the country's utter lack of prisons. Humanitarianland's national animal is the Freedom, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Human Right.

Humanitarianland is ranked 1,210th in the Rejected Realms and 93,297th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -5 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
