The Confederated Phoenix Kingdom of Hobit is a colossal, cultured nation, ruled by Chancellor Christine Fontana with an even hand, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 6.259 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Education, and Social Welfare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of San Cristobal. The average income tax rate is 75%, and even higher for the wealthy. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

The nation is experiencing a severe shortage of sporting events, the automotive industry soaks up huge government handouts, glittering new sports stadiums adorn every city and town, and new safety regulations require all cars manufactured in Hobit to be bombproof. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Hobit's national animal is the Eagle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is the Sagrado Orden del Fénix, and its currency is the Hobitian Shekel.

Hobit is ranked 2nd in Judea and 8,370th in the world for Most Influential, scoring 43 on the Soft Power Disbursement Rating.
