The Armed Republic of HK Colt is a gargantuan, economically powerful nation, ruled by John Browning with an even hand, and notable for its suspicion of poets. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 10.147 billion HK Coltians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Defence, with areas such as the Environment and Social Welfare receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Browning. The average income tax rate is 98%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Arms Manufacturing industry, followed by Information Technology and Automobile Manufacturing.

The government encourages conflict abroad to increase arms sales, soldiers are equipped with multi-million lead battlesuits, foreign 'investors' have been taking a great interest in the new secret shuttle, and agricultural science is the most competitive subject at HK Colt's universities. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. HK Colt's national animal is the automatic rifle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Armamentism, and its currency is the lead.

HK Colt is ranked 726th in Europeia and 111,916th in the world for Longest Average Lifespans, scoring -67 on the Enoch Index.
