The People's Jamahiriya of Herzliyya is a gargantuan, cultured nation, ruled by the Herzliyyan People's Vanguard with an even hand, and notable for its keen interest in outer space. Its compassionate population of 14.614 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, Social Welfare, and Healthcare. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Verda Urbo. The average income tax rate is 100%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Schoolchildren have twice-weekly sex education classes, anti-government political posters adorn every building like wallpaper, a government program is underway to revitalize Herzliyya's beaches, and all guns must be registered. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Herzliyya's national animal is the giraffe, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its currency is the herzl.

Herzliyya is ranked 4,553rd in The North Pacific and 101,324th in the world for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -15 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
