The Kingdom of Henry IV Bolingbroke is a massive, devout nation, notable for its strong anti-business politics. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 4.618 billion are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked, moralistic morass -- is effectively ruled by the Department of Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Public Transport receiving almost no funds by comparison. Inheritance tax has recently been abolished, the ban on cars has been repealed, environmental protestors are being rounded up and taken away in sinister black vans as a massive land development campaign gets underway, and the government regularly hires contractors to construct high rise apartments. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is well under control, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Henry IV Bolingbroke's national animal is the lion, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, its national religion is Roman Catholicism, and its currency is the pound.
