The Colony of Henderson Field is a massive, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-working, intelligent population of 2.636 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded individuals concentrates mainly on Law & Order, although Commerce and Defence are secondary priorities. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 6%. A very small private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.

Voting is voluntary, surveillance cameras are banned, all tariffs have been abolished, and Henderson Field is notorious for its citizens' infidelity. Crime is a serious problem. Henderson Field's national animal is the eagle, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the dollar.
